Make it Pop!
A friend got a hold of this New Yorker Magazine cover from July 7, 1986, the date of birth of their son. We trimmed it out of the magazine, laid sample corners on the print. Our friends chose a beautiful powder blue mat and a nice black frame. The powdery blue mat seemed to wash out the print. Instead of changing the mat color (it looks so good with the overall colors of the print and the room in which the print will hang) we added a bottom mat in black. With just a 1/4 of an inch showing all around the print, it does the job in seperating the soft blue mat and the image but still brings out the colors of the print. To really make it shine, we are adding an elegant black frame. We'll post this print when it is all framed and ready to go!
